About Natalie Staniforth
Natalie Staniforth ha estat professionalment des esculpint 1995, exploring many disciplines—from film and ice carving to large-scale public art—while remaining rooted in her passion for figurative sculpture and portraiture. Her deep understanding of the human form has been enriched by years of technical training in the film industry, where precision and craftsmanship shaped her into the versatile artist she is today. The result is a distinctive body of work that bridges fine art and technical expertise.
Career & Experience
After completing her BA (Hons) in Technical Arts Interpretation at Wimbledon School of Art, Natalie began her sculpting career in film. a 1997, she worked in Australia and New Zealand as part of the art department for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, followed by work on the first Harry Potter film in London.
a 2003, Natalie transitioned fully into fine art sculpture. Initially based in London and now working from her studio near Barcelona, she has exhibited and sold work through galleries across the UK, Germany, and Spain. Artistic Focus
Now specializing primarily in portrait sculpture and animal art, Natalie creates highly skilled traditional works alongside more personal explorations of themes such as motherhood i everyday life. Working mainly in stone and clay, with occasional pieces in copper, she combines technical mastery with a sensitivity that captures both likeness and emotion.
